Director of Family Services Recognized for Achievements
Terrie Price, PhD, Director of Family Services, was recognized in recent months for several significant achievements. Dr. Price was awarded specialty certification in professional psychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP), a distinction held by less than 5% of clinical psychologists. ABPP designation represents the highest level of achievement for a psychologist and requires successful completion of a rigorous written and oral examination by peers in clinical practice.

Dr. Price was also elected in December 2006 to serve a second term as president of the American Association of Spinal Cord Injury Psychologists and Social Workers 0(AASCIPSW). The national organization focuses on expanding opportunities and improving the quality of life for people with spinal cord disabilities. Paul Tobin, Executive Director of United Spinal Association, applauded Dr. Price?s contributions and remarked that her ?dedication is particularly impressive when one considers that these volunteer activities are performed in addition to full time clinical and administrative responsibilities.?

Dr. Price has been employed by The Rehabilitation Institute of Kansas City since 1991 and oversees the Institute?s neuropsychology, social work and memory clinic services.
