Community Employment Services

Desired Outcome: Participants will locate and retain employment paying minimum wage or greater.

January - December 2007 Results:

  • 69% of those served found employment.
  • 75% of those obtaining employment were still employed 90 days later.
  • The average starting salary for those obtaining employment was $8.18 per hour.

Vocational Evaluation/Employee Development

Desired Outcome: Participants will develop a vocational plan leading to employment.

January - December 2007 Results:

  • 80% of those served completed their course of services and developed a vocational plan.
  • 20% of those who successfully completed chose to pursue employment.
  • 49% of those who successfully completed chose to pursue some type of additional training.

Supported Employment

Desired Outcome: Participants will locate and retain employment paying at minimum wage or above, with support from a job coach.

January - December 2007 Results:

  • 78% of those served obtained employment.
  • The average starting salary for those obtaining employment was $7.31 per hour.
  • 100% of those completing a satisfaction survey indicated overall satisfaction with the program.

Adaptive Computer and Communication Technology

Desired Outcome: Participants will identify, utilize and benefit from assistive technology.

January - December 2007 Results:

  • 87% of persons served contacted at both 90 days and one year following the completion of services continued to use their prescribed equipment and skills they learned.
  • 96% of persons served reported that services enhanced their participation in community activities, and / or supported their pursuit of employment or school.

Rehabilitation Institute Industries

January - December 2007 Results:

  • 80% of participants achieved a non-vocational goal as a result of services received while employed in the Industries program.
  • 97% of participants reported that they developed friendships at work.
