Adaptive Computer and Communication Technology Program (ACCT)

• 91 people received assistive technology services
• 97% of program participants planned to use their assistive technology at work, school or for personal needs to enhance independence or communication
• 59% of program participants needed equipment or modifications that cost under $750
• 81% of program participants have an equipment loan or purchase arrangement initiated within 30 days of identifying a technology solution

• 78% of individuals served achieved at least one of the personal development goals identified on their individual plan
• 100% of individuals served who were surveyed responded affirmatively to the following questions:

“Do you feel you can talk to staff?”
            “Do you like working with your supervisor and program manager?”

• 96% of individuals served who were surveyed responded affirmatively to the following questions:

“Do you feel you have friends at work?”
            “Do you feel safe at work?”

Comments from individuals served included:

“I love making new friends.”

“I’m going to be working here for a long time – I don’t want to leave here.”

“This helps my son feel productive.”

Comments from business customers included:

“The service on our rush orders is excellent and always exceeds our expectations.  The staff are always great to deal with and very attentive to our needs.”

232 individuals participated in vocational assessment

• 84% of program participants completed their program and developed a vocational plan
• 26% chose to pursue direct employment
• 49% chose to pursue additional training/education
• 100% of program participants said they were pleased with services and would recommend the program to others

“My caseworker and job coaches all did a wonderful job.”

 “I am just really pleased about the whole process.”

• The average starting salary for those finding employment was $8.70 per hour, $7.76 per hour for those entering supported employment.
• 87 people were placed into employment during this time period.
• Average time to placement was 5.4 weeks, 12.2 weeks for those entering supported employment.
• 80% of those placed were still employed at 90 days, 55% of those in supported employment were still employed at 90 days.
• 100% of program participants were pleased with services and would recommend the program to others.
