Sheltered Workshops

Our Extended Work Adjustment Program, known as R.I. Industries, is a nationally accredited service that provides individuals with significant disabilities (developmental, behavioral/psychological or intellectual), who might otherwise be unemployed and relatively isolated, 30 hours a week of meaningful work activities in one of three workshop settings.   Each shop accommodates a specific group of participants based on their level of needed supervision/support.

Employment opportunities are created by providing light industrial sub-contract work at a competitive price to local and national companies. The program provides an environment where individuals with significant disabilities can develop work habits and skills, earn a wage and, as appropriate, prepare for possible competitive employment.
