What types of rehabilitation services do you provide?
We provide Medical Rehabilitation (Day Treatment, Outpatient and Specialty), Employment Placement Services and Extended Work Adjustment (Sheltered Workshops).
Observed holidays are New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day (July 4), Labor Day, Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving and Christmas.
What are your hours of operation?
Medical Rehabilitation and Employment Placement Services: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Sheltered Workshops, R.I. Industries: 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
What ages are served by your programs?
Medical Rehabilitation: We serve children and adults of all ages. We offer separate pediatric, adolescent and adult day treatment programs. We also offer two levels of adults programs based on home, work and community goals.
Employment Placement Programs: We Serve individuals 14 and older.
Sheltered Workshops: We serve individuals 16 and older.
What makes your Medical Rehabilitation Day Treatment Programs unique?
- Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and/or Speech Therapy level of service are provided a minimum of 3 hours for full day participation. Therapy services are provided by licensed registered rehab professionals.
- Full-time nursing staff is present to help with any medical management issues.
- Full-time on-site classroom teacher AND vocational case manager.
- Full-time case management and social services.
- Bowel and Bladder Management – we are able to work with individuals who are still addressing bowel and bladder training.
- Family conferences are held within the first 2 weeks of participation and ongoing as needed.
- Neuropsychology Services- group counseling is included in service. Individual and family counseling is available. Staff are full-time, on-site employees. Assessments are incorporated into plans for return to school and/or work.
- Access to other specialty services on-site including: therapeutic recreation, driving rehabilitation, adaptive technology, vision services and wellness/fitness services.
- Community outings for adolescent and advanced adult programs.
- Conflict resolution - our therapy staff complete 24 hours MANDT training annually where they learn to resolve conflict through communication with an emphasis on consistency, dignity and respect.

Exceptional Care - we have provided medical rehabilitation and employment placement services since1947. We are accredited by CARF, the Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities and are certified as a Comprehensive Outpatient Rehab Facility (CORF).

Insurance coverage varies depending in individual plans.
What is required for program admission?
Medical Rehabilitation & Specialty Programs: Most of our programs require a physician’s prescriptions before you can be admitted.
Employment Placement & Sheltered Workshop Services: Most of our programs require a referral from Vocational Rehabilitation Services.
