Employment Program Outcomes

We are committed to providing quality services that enhance the overall independence of those we serve.  Below is a representative sample of the program outcomes we measure.  These outcomes represent the 12 months ending with December 31, 2011.

Sheltered Workshop Employment (R.I. Industries)
  • 91% of individuals served achieved at least one of the personal development goals identified on their individual plan.
  • 100% of individuals served who were surveyed 1) felt like they could talk to staff and 2) liked working with their supervisor and program manager.
  • 100% of individuals served who were surveyed 1) felt like they have friends at work and 2) felt safe at work.
  • 100% of families/caregivers surveyed were satisfied with the services and responsiveness to the needs of the individual.
  • 100% of business customers surveyed were satisfied with the quality, value and timeliness of work provided by the Industries program.

Job Placement & Supported Employment Programs
  • 138 people were placed into employment.
  • The average starting salary for those finding employment was $9.20 per hour, $7.79  per hour for those entering supported employment.
  • Average time to placement was 16.5 weeks, 19 weeks for those entering supported employment.
  • 83% of those placed were still employed at 6 months, 84% of those in supported employment were still employed at 6 months.
  • 99% of program participants were pleased with services and would recommend the program to others.
