Employment Program Outcomes

We are committed to providing quality services that enhance the overall independence of those we serve. Below is a representative sample of the program outcomes we measure. These outcomes are for the period of July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2011.
RI Industries (Sheltered Workshops)
- 91% of vocational goals were achieved by participants in the program
- 100% of individuals served who were surveyed felt safe at work, have friends at work and want to continue working.
- Participants were engaged in work 92.7% of the time
- 100% of business customers surveyed were satisfied with the quality, value and timeliness of work provided by the Industries program.
Job Placement & Supported Employment Programs
- 227 people were placed into employment.
- The average starting salary for those finding employment was $9.26 per hour, $7.85 per hour for those entering supported employment.
- Average time to placement was 18 weeks, 28 weeks for those entering supported employment.
- 78% of those placed were still employed at 6 months, 75% of those in supported employment were still employed at 6 months.
- 100% of program participants were pleased with services and would recommend the program to others.
